I am so impressed with this web page so informative, waiting to send to facebook contacts, Hasan , great job you are young and energetic and will take Avlon to the next century. This gives our customers a chance to get informed on the products.

The anticipation is making me wait.

Hi Dr Syed

Will this product be available in the UK? In addition, is it possible to post a picture showing the ingredients?

Also, off topic, who is your main distributor in the UK?

Regards

L2L

We asked for at and I'm ready to purchase.

Yes, this product will be available to UK customers as well. The distributors in the UK are Headlines Beauty Supply in London and GPB Beauty Supply in Birmingham. The ingredient listing for these products will be available when the products are released to the market place.

Thank you for your interest.

Thank you. Good to hear from you.

Wow, I'm so excited about the prospect of adding this product to my salon inventory. I have a number of customers who will really appreciate this. Thanks to all who made this possible.

Hi Dr Syed,
I don't know if i'm leaving this question in the right place(hope it's not a bother) but I'm new to the Keracare/Affirm line and so far I love it. My only question is, being a memeber of a number of haircare sites and blogs I've noticed a big debate about mineral oil and the fact that it seems to be taboo when it comes to african type hair. What is your position on this please? Is mineral oil really damaging to hair because of how it is made?? I notice that a number of KeraCare products list mineral oil as the 2nd or 3rd ingredient.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read and respond.

We use a pharmaceutical grade of petrolatum and mineral oil along with other high quality ingredients. To the best of our knowledge these materials do not have any adverse effects on the hair or scalp.

We always listen to our customers and try to meet their needs. Based upon the consumers' perception regarding petrolatum, mineral oil, and other undesirable chemicals, we are working to modify our formulations and you will see changes in our offerings available to the marketplace.

We are here to serve you and we'd like to continue to hear your feedback. Thank you for your support and stay in touch.

Hi Dr. Syed,
Thanks so much for acknowledging the requests of the consumers. I do understand the reason behind the products' reformulation, however, I would like to know if the old version of the products will still be available for retail consumption? That is to say, will either formulations both be available as "options" for the consumer to choose from? So far the salons I have located with the new packaging are replacing the old ones, rather than placing them beside one another.

It has been my experience that sulfate-free or mineral oil-free formulations are not always ideal for everyone, as least for me, as product success is contingent upon ingredient formulation and pH of the product, and not everyone's hair will respond in the same way. I have grown quite fond of the current versions, of products and am simply apprehensive that product changes might alter my results. I do have confidence in your decisions and ability to create great products, but just wanted to convey my concerns.

Thanks for reading.

I appreciate the concerns. I would like to assure you that the KeraCare 1st Lather is gentler to the scalp and hair, proven through our rigiourous testing in our Research Center. The detergents present in our shampoos have been extensively tested on human skin and hair. We used the top performing detergents in the 1st Lather Shampoo and the KC Hydrating Detangling Shampoo with regard to moisture, gentleness and scalp barrier function. In addition we added moisturizing ingredients to each formula according to the functionality of the formulas. The pH of the products keeps the pH of the hair and scalp within the pH balance range. The normal pH balance range of the human scalp and hair is 4.5 to 6.5, depending upon on diet and other hygienic habits.

I will be glad to hear your feedback. Keep up the good work as an educated consumer. You do a great service to our community of consumers by asking intelligent questions.

Thanks for your interest.
