Based on feedback that we received from you, the stylists, Avlon has decided that it was time for a change regarding the KeraCare Humecto Creme Conditioner.

Over the years, stylists conveyed to us that they preferred the thicker and richer formula that was present in the 5 lbs. bucket as opposed to the formula present in the 8 fl. oz and 16 fl. oz sizes.

In accordance with the times, Avlon has decided to change the 8 fl. oz and 16 fl. oz formulas to now feature the same thicker and richer formula found in the 5 lbs buckets. We will add some sort of imagery to the bottles to make sure you will be able to tell that the bottles contain the revised and thicker formula.

Most importantly, thanks for the feedback and we look forward to your future comments.

KeraCare Humecto UPDATE from IN THE LAB, WITH DR. ALI SYED on February 16, 2009 6:54 PM

I wanted stylists to get a glimpse of what our newly updated package of the KeraCare Humecto Creme Conditioner 8 oz. bottle will look like. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, Avlon will now be filling the thicker... Read More

I am sooo happy to hear about the change. Over the years, I have been told that the Keracare conditioner used in the salons was more effective and more thicker than the 8oz and 16oz bottles. Many people have said that the Keracre conditioner in the salons does WONDERS for their hair. Well, I took a chance and went out and purchased an 8oz bottle of the Keracare Humecto conditioner and used it. Well, it's been sitting on my shelf for 6 months. Did not like it because it was too thin and not much better than regular Drugstore conditioners. That was money wasted. I was not willing to purchase a $40.00 - $50.00 tub of conditioner at all just to get a better formula. When I found out the 8oz and 5lb conditioners have different percentages in the ingredients I was shocked, however my question was answered.

Well, it's so nice to know I can now throw out my current conditioners now and purchase the conditioner I've been waiting so long to purchase. I only use quality products on my hair as my hair LOVES natural ingredients. Keracare Humecto is loaded with natural ingredients and the salon formula is so much creamier and more moisturizing.

Thank you Avlon for listening to your customers and for finally being consistent with your product formula. As a company, it's very wise to make a product under ONE name, that has the EXACT SAME percentages of ingredients in the formula no matter what the size. This is a move that is long overdue and hats off to you for finally making the change. I will now be purchasing the Humecto for life since I can now afford it! :-)

I havent tried any of the Keracare products yet but I hear some of the ladies on the hair care board I visit reguarlarly (lhcf) rave about it. Especially the Keracare Humecto conditioner in the tub verses the one in the bottle. I was reluctant to try the one in the bottle because I read it was inferior to the one in the tub, and reluctant to try the one in the tub because of its high price tag. But now that the tub formula is/ is going to be available in a smaller packaging, Im definately going to buy it. Now my hair can reap all the benefits of the thicker creamier formular without my wallet being paper thin! Thank you for making the change.

Was the difference in the formula of the Kera Care products only used for the Humecto creme?
I prefer to buy the tubs and gallons of your products but still I would like to know, since
my clients mostly use the 8oz, 16oz or the 32oz
versions.

Best regards

Yes, it was only the case of Humecto Cream Conditioner. All other formulas are same for various sizes of any given product.
