I wanted stylists to get a glimpse of what our newly updated package of the KeraCare Humecto Creme Conditioner 8 oz. bottle will look like.
As I mentioned in a previous blog post, Avlon will now be filling the thicker and richer formula, that can be found in the 5 lbs. bucket, in the 8 oz and 16 oz sizes.
So please be sure that you are carrying the newest versions of the Humecto products. Hopefully you guys will now have an easier time to retail Humecto to your clients.
By the way, how many of you retail Humecto? Leave a comment below if you do, and whatever comments or feedback that you or your clients have.
Dr. Syed,
I admit that am a self proclaimed product junkie. Not because I just enjoy spending money on hair products, but because I am a perfectionist when it comes to my hair. I stopped making the dreadful salon visits 16 years ago when I spent six hours there and went home, only to shampoo and re-do what the stylist had previously done. Since then, I have been searching for hair products that would provide my hair with the nourishment it needed and the texture and shine that I enjoy. I have fine hair in a bob style that is just below my ears. A few years ago I discovered that I had been overprocessing my hair with harsh relaxers. I tried the Optimum Bodifying Relaxer for fine hair, and I has been a God send. My next task was to find styling products that would be just as gentle, yet provide the necessary moisture for healthy hair. For years I kept buying tons of oils, creams, and serums, thinking that the right combination of one of these would solve my lingering issues with dryness. I initially tried the Humecto Creme Conditioner at the reccommendation of a co-worker. Initially, after rinsing the conditioner out, I didn't know what to think. It felt as if my hair texture had been transformed! It was silky and sleek, yet it felt strong. I have had problems with conditioners making my hair too "soft" and delicate. But this-this was life changing! I realized that my dryness issues would ultimately be solved with a moisturizing conditioner, not the styling products, which often contained alcohol as the second ingrdient (I never coud figure out how these so called "moisturizing" products would accomplish this with alcohol). In any case,I went on to incorporate the First Lather, and Hydrating and Detangling Shampoos. I am OVERJOYED to say that I found exactly what my hair needs, all in one haircare line! I have since discarded those expensive products, i.e. Ojon, Pureology, and Mizani. I consistently recieve compliments on my hair from both men and women. I know this was a very long post and I need to get back to work, but I would just like to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for a PHENOMENAL product line! Me and my hair are forever changed!!!!

I love this conditioner. My friend introduced me to Keracare about eight years ago and I haven't looked back since. My mother just started using it and she loves it too! Keracare is the best product for african descent hair.
Dr. Syed, Lets start off by saying Syntonics bontanical strengthening serum is a must have for all stylist, I love this product along with the syntonic edge definer. I did have a question, I have a client with excessive shedding, after trying protein treatments(fiberguard sustenance) hope I spelled it correctly, nothing is working. She has excessively dry hair, what do you suggest I use? I have used humecto, and she is still shedding heavily. I am beginning to think it is a internal problem, instead of external.
It is good to know that you like Syntonics Botanical Strengthening Serum. With regard to your client, part of the problem could be the dryness of the scalp. Here are my recommendations.
1. Shampoo her hair and scalp using KeraCare Dry and Itchy Shampoo for the first lather. Then shampoo her hair with KeraCare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo second time. Rinse.
2. Mix half and half of KeraCare Dry & Itchy Conditioner with KeraCare Intensive Restorative Masque. Leave it on for 25 to 30 minutes. Rinse, and apply a small amount of Syntonics Strengthening Serum (size a dime). Then wrap her hair with either KeraCare Foam Wrap or Syntonics Foam Wrap Souffle.
3. Spray a little bit of KeraCare Silken Seal Liquid Sheen after the hair has been dried under a hooded dryer.
Let me know how everything turns out for your client.

Dear Dr. Syed,
I have not had a relaxer for the last 6 years. My hair is fine, but I have a lot of it. From the crown of my head forward, it's coarse, but curly, and from the crown to the nape of my neck my hair is very dry, brittle and much thinner (in amount) than the top. I began using Keracare Humecto about three years ago and the difference in my hair is amazing. I shampoo my hair once a month using Keracare Detangling, but I condition it weekly. I haven't used the new Keracare formula as yet (but I did order it and it's on the way); I'm concerned that the new thicker and richer formula might weigh my hair down. My attachment to the product originally came from the fact that it was more like an emolient, instead of a cream or lotion textured conditioner. Before using Keracare I would slather Cholesterol on my hair and then mix it with a humectant conditioner that would keep my hair from feeling weighed down or greasy. My stylist loves my natural hair because she says that it's well moisturized and very manageable; I promise you that it's because of the Humecto!!
