Over time, I will be uploading the Fundamentals of Lightening Hair DVD onto YouTube. The DVD is narrated by Avlon Guest Colorist Leigh Jones and it features our MoisturColor Oil Moisturizing Powder Lightening System. Be sure to check back here or on my YouTube channel for future sections of the DVD, but for now, please enjoy Part 1:

I finally watched the video and really appreciate the educational aspect of it as I am presently in a Haircoloring class. I can see from the video the smooth texture of the mixture which I take it will allow the lightener to go on smoothly, unlike the clumpy mixtures I've been experiencing so far. I look forward to the continuing saga of the Fundamentals of Lightening Hair.
Hello
I just found out about your blog from Mane & Chic and find it very informative.
I will be a regular visitor here
Colorist Leigh Jones mentioned the importance of the client consultation which is of utmost importance for sure. I like the way he analyzes the hair, lovingly caressing his client's tresses, I'm certain gonna use that. Here's my question: Will there be some advice on performing a patch test or how to get a client to even consider a patch test when she wants color TODAY?
Mr. Jones made mention of the product not being toner dependent. As a student I'm still trying to understand the purpose/need of toning hair. I've used toners on the manikins just to see what the difference would be. What I've gotten so far is that toners are used on prelightened hair to achieve pale and delicate colors after the decolorizing process. Can you bestow on us some enLIGHTENment?
Glad to hear, Angelique.
